The Prizes

We’re talking actual cash prizes, unique Taskmaster items, and rewards for the most astute, creative, and completely ridiculous answers.

The Cause

Because the Fringe matters, and getting there costs.

This event is hosted by Chris Duke to raise funds for two deeply connected things:

First, taking his one-man musical, 1 Missed Call, to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2026. The Fringe is the most important launchpad in British theatre, but staging a show completely independently is financially demanding.

Second, to raise money and awareness for men's mental health charities.

About 1 Missed Call

A one-man musical written and performed by Chris Duke. It explores men's emotional silence, the dangerous habit of saying "I'm fine" when you're not, and the devastating cost of leaving things unsaid.

The fundraiser supports getting this important story to the stage, whilst directly supporting the charities that work on the front lines of men's mental health every day.

Got Questions?

FAQ

Is this an official Taskmaster event?

No. This is a fan-inspired, Taskmaster-themed fundraiser. We are huge fans of the show and are drawing on its spirit and format to create a fun night for a good cause, but we are not an official Avalon or Channel 4 production.

Do I need to be a Taskmaster superfan to play?

Not at all! While there will be nods to the show, the quiz itself will feature general trivia, logic puzzles, and fun interactive rounds that anyone can enjoy.

How do I actually take part?

The quiz takes place on Sunday 19th April 2026 at 8pm. Once you book, we will email you all the other details, including a link to watch the live stream (usually via YouTube or Zoom). To play, you just need to download the free "SmartQuiz" app to your smartphone, which acts as your interactive answering keypad.

Can I join as a team?

Yes! You can gather around one phone as a household team, or you can all buy individual entries and compete against each other from your own devices.

I can't attend, but can I still support?

Absolutely. You can still purchase an entry to act as a direct donation to the Edinburgh Fringe run and the mental health charities we are supporting. Every single contribution makes a massive difference.
